Saturday afternoon in Atlanta, GA having brunch with my sorority sisters, celebrating Chloe’s BirthMonth. We called it “Chloetober”.
First thing first, catching up with my sisters was the highlight of my month!! I was so excited to chat about what’s happening in all of our lives and reminiscing on our college days together. We decided to meet up at a brunch location that was “Clatchet” Classy & Ratchet for a fun mid day turn up and that’s exactly what we received. Someone suggested this place called Negril Village and it totally blew my expectations. It was in downtown Atlanta, at a nice historic style venue that was small inside, but gave an intimate vibe. Atlanta tourists and locals were all dressed the part for the nice fall day, (wish I would’ve took pictures of the inside) and were very friendly upon arrival. As soon as we stepped through the door, Solange’s new album “A Seat at the Table” was in rotation and I instantly was impressed. The menu at the restaurant was Caribbean cuisine, but mostly everyone ordered chicken and waffles, except for my adventurous Line Sister Keo. She ordered an authentic ox tails dish. We all enjoyed our food, sipped on mimosa’s and rum punch, vibed to the latest hip hop and R&B tunes, and conversed with one another as well as others surrounding our table. I give this restaurant a thumbs up for experience, food, and service! The link to the restaurant’s website is below, as well as their social media.
